Slow Cooker Korean Beef
Easy meal to prepare in the slow cooker for those nights you don't have much time to cook. Serve with rice and vegetables/salad.
Equipment
- 1 Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 2 lb. Steak
- 1 Cup Beef (or Chicken) Broth or 1 Tbsp Epicure's Better Than Beef Broth with 1 cup water
- ½ Cup Tamari gluten free
- ½ Cup Brown Sugar or maple syrup
- 4 Cloves Crushed Garlic or 2 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 Tbsp. Grated Ginger or 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 Tbsp. Sesame Oil
- 1 Tbsp. Rice Vinegar
- 1 tsp Sriracha
- ½ tsp Onion Powder
- 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- 2 Green Onions
Instructions
- Add beef broth, tamari, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, sriracha and onion powder to slow cooker and stir.
- Thinly slice steak and add to the sauce in the slow cooker.
- Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 7-8 hours.
- Whisk cornstarch with ¼ cup of water and add to slow cooker 30 min prior to completion. If slow cooker is on low heat, increase to high heat for the sauce to thicken.
- Serve on top of rice and garnish with green onions.
